Ryan Swanson

Ryan Swanson is a writer, historian, teacher, and public speaker whose research focuses primarily on sports in America. His newest book, The Strenuous Life: Theodore Roosevelt and the Making of the American Athletewas published with Diversion Books in August 2019. Swanson is an Associate Professor in the Honors College at the University of New Mexico and the Director of the Lobo Scholars Program — an innovative initiative that serves NCAA Division I Student Athletes.
